Sonakshi Sinha is all set to step into the horror-comedy genre with ‘Kakuda’. Produced by RSVP and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar, the film promises to pack a punch of laughter with a twist of horror. Along with Sonakshi, the film will also star Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem, and is set to premiere soon on ZEE5.

Set in Ratodi village in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, ‘Kakuda’ revolves around a peculiar ritual that has been going on in the village for years. Every house in Ratodi has two identical-looking doors – one of normal size and the other smaller. Every Tuesday at 7:15 pm, the smaller door has to be opened, else the wrath of Kakuda will befall the head of the house.

But the question is, who is Kakuda? Why does he punish the men of the village? How will the villagers be freed from this curse? As the tagline warns, “Now the men are in danger!”
