My husband’s wife review: Arjun Kapoor shines in this chaotic comedy

My husband’s wife establishes a fun base, but a chaotic steam loses steam. Arjun Kapoor shines, while Rakul Preet and Bhumi Pednekar have struggled to make an impact. Harsh Gujral stole the scenes with his comic timing.

What if you are considering your fiance’s former, plot to go back to your life? You will face it and set things straight, right? But in Mudshar Aziz’s mere husband’s bavi, this very situation enhances the play in the second half. Two women, without taking care of the feelings of man, are engaged in a tug-off-world to win their love. While on this basis there is a capacity for a rib-ticiling comedy, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh-Starrar eventually results in a chaotic, stretched climax.

The actual disappointment, however, stems from high expectations prescribed in the first half. The film distributes entertaining moments by establishing a man’s base to rejuvenate her romance with her ex -wife’s crush with her college crush. Adding to fun is rigid Gujral (a great casting choice), which gets the best punchline. Their comic timing, funny one-liners, and Arjun, keep coming to chemistry laughs. Talking about a smile, the lover with the Signature Grin -Arjun Kapoor is back into his comfort field and owns the part. Shedting his villain Singham Return personality, he shows a soft, more emotional side in the sensitive moments of the film.

Despite soulful roles, prominent women, Rakul and Bhumi, fail to make a permanent impact. Bhumi’s fiery Punjabi character, although initially fun, becomes too much after a point. Meanwhile, Rakul’s good girl feels very common to stand out. His food seems highly scripted, and there is a shortage of sparks in his chemistry. Both actors have played a similar role in the past, and just husband’s bavi is very few to add price to their filmography.

She said, the film does well in search of relationships, especially how the best lover can fail as married couples. A dialogue of Harsha’s character – how we keep friends in our hearts, but keep the partners on a pedestal – deeply. The subject of divorce is handled with sensitivity, but despite the efforts of the manufacturers in the penis fairness, there is a built -in bias. While the wife takes an extreme step that leads to isolation, her dedication to her career and her husband’s irrational behavior at her workplace is easily brightened. The way he is introduced as a vampish character, his ex -husband almost persecutes life, you question the director’s vision – and even highlight despair.

Mudasar Aziz, known for the discovery of similar topics Pati patni and woh And the game works hard to balance the game Pisces, humor and drama. When comedy works, the film progresses as the script moves forward. By the time it reaches the climax-it is like-you can find yourself wooing to move forward fast. A tight edited, at least 15–20 minutes trimming, must have made a world of difference.

The film Shakti Kapoor’s signature “OW,” in the 80s style taps indifferent with elements such as a jokes about wrong names, and classic trops of temporary memory loss. Soundtrack, characteristic of popular yesryear songs, also adds to retro attraction. Some meta-humors, such as Arjun’s danger Lanka and rigid, are called “cheap Vicky Kaushal”, really clever.

While my husband’s bavi does not specially offer new new, it still works as a light-hearted watch, enjoyed the best with friends and family.

3.5 out for 5 stars.
