Watch: Route for Moon, Blue Ghost catches the stunning view of the earth

The blue ghost lunar lander of the firefly aerospace is currently on the way to the moon. Next to landing, it caught the glimpse of the Earth from the space. On Monday, the firefly aerospace shared some new scenes taken by Blue Ghost on X.

The side note reads, “T -5 days until the blue ghost does not say goodbye to the Earth! With accuracy we achieved on our first two burns, we were able to give up the third earth orbit maneuver.”

The blue ghost is already in a good position to do our trans-lunar injection within a week, it is said. “Our #ghostriders continue to capture some incredible shots of our home planet on the way. #BGM1.”

People watching the scenes on X were shocked, some said they could not wait to watch post -landing images and videos.

“These preview videos and images eager me to see what you will capture during and later!” Read a comment.

One person said, “What is a beautiful vision! It is proud of it.”

“Absolutely terrible fireplace! Rocket science in action,” said another.

On 29 January, Jugnu Aerospace shared that Mission had already covered a distance of 715,000 miles in its journey and reduced more than 7 GB of data in just two weeks.

In new development, the mission has begun to calibrate the Lexy X-ray imager to maximize its performance levels for operations on the lunar surface.

“Lexi will be calibrated daily as long as we land on the moon. Paylode will then capture a series of X-ray images to study the interaction of the solar wind and the magnetic field of the earth that will geomagnetic on the planet of our home Runs disturbances and storms, “the company said.

Blue Ghost Mission is an important part of NASA’s commercial lunar payload services (CLPS) program. Its purpose is to distribute ten research payloads to declare the chrysium on the lunar surface.

Launched on 15 January 2025, Blue Ghost is scheduled to land on the moon on March 2, 2025. It will be in operation for about 60 days during its mission.

Once it successfully descends into the mare of Chrisium, the blue ghost will operate 10 NASA payloads for a full lunar day, which is about 14 days on Earth. It is expected to support many science and technology performances such as sample collection, X-ray imaging, lunar sub-dust drilling and dust mitigation.
