Revelations in the Saif Ali Khan attack case are taking new turns every day. While doctors at Lilavati Hospital had earlier confirmed that the actor’s son Taimur Ali Khan had accompanied his injured father to the hospital, the latest reports floating on the internet suggested that it was the actor’s friend Afsar Zaidi who admitted him at 4:11. But was brought for medical care. However, now the actor’s friend has revealed that he reached the hospital after being called.
According to a report in India Today, Saif Ali Khan’s friend Afsar Zaidi has dismissed reports that he had taken the actor to the hospital on the night of the stabbing incident. He revealed that he reached the medical facility after being called by the Pataudi family.
The report further added that Zaidi got a call around 3:30 in the morning from Saif’s family members to reach the hospital as the actor was being admitted. Saif was stabbed six times by an intruder during a robbery attempt at his Bandra residence. After this, Zaidi reached the hospital at around 4 in the morning and completed the formalities for Saif’s admission for treatment by filling the mandatory forms on the request of the Pataudi family.
Notably, Saif’s admission form, which has now gone viral on the internet, shows details of the injuries suffered by the actor. In the form, officer Zaidi’s name has been recorded as ‘brought by hospital’ field and relation as ‘friend’. Needless to say, this might have happened because Saif’s son Taimur, being a child, was not able to fill the form on his own.
The form noted injuries ranging from 0.5 cm to 15 cm in size. It also said that the Race actor was stabbed at five places, namely his back, wrist, neck, shoulder and elbow.
It is noteworthy that earlier during a press conference, COO of the hospital, Dr. Neeraj Uttamani had said, “When he (Saif) reached the hospital, he was soaked in blood. But he came back like a lion with his little child, Taimur. A real hero…he’s very lucky,” adding that if the knife had been 2mm deeper, he could have suffered serious injuries.
