Samsung is preparing for the launch of its new flagship series Galaxy S25. Scheduled for January 22, the new Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup is expected to include the vanilla Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a new anticipated entry, the Galaxy S25 Slim. While there is a lot of buzz about this new variant, the latest leak suggests that Samsung may keep this variant select for some countries.
According to recent renders by PhoneArena, while Samsung may introduce a new slim variant in the Galaxy S25 series, the new variant will arrive later in the year. Additionally, with the launch delay, Samsung may limit the availability of the Galaxy S25 Slim to 39 countries. The list of countries includes:
- afghanistan
- Australia
- austria
- brazil
- caucasus
- croatia
- egypt
- France
- India
- Iraq
- ireland
- israel
- kazakhstan
- kenya
- Libya

- Mexico
- morocco
- Nigeria
- Pakistan

- Serbia/Montenegro

- South Africa
- Sri Lanka
- Switzerland
- Thailand
- tunisia
- turkey
- united arab emirates
- united kingdom
- Uzbekistan
- vietnam
Although the list is extensive, notably, the US is not included in it. However this listing is not the first to suggest the unavailability of the Galaxy S25 Slim in the US. Earlier in his post on X, tipster Evan Blass had suggested that Samsung’s upcoming slim device “almost certainly will not be offered through a US carrier.” Iwan said this would be a move similar to Samsung’s approach with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, which only debuted in South Korea in October 2024.
However, it is important to note that nothing has been confirmed by Samsung yet. However the availability of the fourth device has been hinted at by Samsung through teasers at the launch event. In the teaser shared, Samsung is showing the corners of four phones, suggesting the launch of four devices in the upcoming Galaxy lineup.
As for what to expect from the thinnest Galaxy S25, this model appeared on Geekbench with model number SM-S937x/DS and is rumored to have a 6.66-inch display, which is presumably the same size as the Galaxy S25+ model. However, the device is expected to be comparatively thinner, with a 6.4mm thin profile without a camera module. Along with the camera module, the Galaxy S25 Slim is likely to measure 8.3mm.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM, and will run on Android 15 with One UI 7 skin on top. For photography, the Samsung S25 Slim is likely to have a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto camera.
