Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, who made his acting debut with Netflix’s Maharaja, said that he had auditioned for Missing Ladies, however, the role ultimately went to Sparsh Srivastava. The film was produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Kiran Rao.

Junaid Khan could not Get a role in Missing Ladies Despite appearing in the screen test. In conversation with Vicky Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Junaid reflected on the audition process. He said, “Missing Ladies was a very different scenario. I did a screen test for the film, but Kiran just said, ‘Sparsh Srivastava is better for this role,’ and I agreed with her. She was perfect for the role. were better suited.”

Despite not being cast, Junaid noted that the decision did not affect his relationship with his stepmother Kiran, describing her as “a very fun and warm person”.

Junaid Khan also tested for Laal Singh ChaddhaHe told that he had also shot 20 minutes of footage for the film. Talking about why it didn’t work out for her, she said, “You must have seen me in Laal Singh Chaddha because I tested for it with Kiran Rao. She played my mother. We did the film. Had shot 7-8 scenes for. Over four days, about 20 minutes of footage. It was a test for me too. Papa wanted to see how I would tackle the material, ultimately it didn’t work out, mainly due to budget reasons to install a new person in a very expensive film.”

In Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan played the lead role and co-produced the film, which was an official remake of the 1994 American classic Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks.

Missing Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan with Jyoti Deshpande, was selected as India’s official entry for the 97th Academy Awards in the Best International Film category. However, the film did not make the shortlist. The cast includes Nitanshi Goyal, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Srivastava, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan.
