India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film category at Oscars 2025, Lapata Ladies, unfortunately did not make the shortlist. In their statement, the producers expressed disappointment but highlighted their optimism, seeing it as a step forward rather than the end.
After this Aamir Khan Productions issued an official statement missing ladies Failed to make the top 10 of Oscars 2025. He wrote, “Lapata Ladies (Lost Ladies) did not make the shortlist for the Academy Awards this year, and we are certainly disappointed.” He also expressed his deep gratitude for the incredible support. And the confidence that they have gained throughout the journey.
Aamir Khan Productions along with Jio Studios and Kindling Productions expressed gratitude to the Academy members and the FFI Jury for considering Missing Ladies. He emphasized that it is an honor to be a part of the prestigious process with some of the best films on a global scale. The team sincerely thanked the audiences around the world for their love and support towards the film.
He also congratulated the teams of the top 15 shortlisted films and wished them all the best in the next phase of the awards. The team said, “For us, this is not the end but a step forward. We are committed to bringing more powerful stories to life and sharing them with the world.” He concluded by thanking everyone for being a part of the journey.
