Poco M7 Pro launch: What to expect?

Poco has gradually revealed some of the key features of the M7 Pro, while the rest have been filled with leaks. Here’s what the phone will bring to the table:

—Processor: At the helm of the Poco M7 Pro is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset. This is a relatively powerful processor that is designed to handle everyday tasks and gaming with ease. The phone will offer up to 16GB of RAM, possibly 8GB onboard, with up to 8GB of virtual expansion.

– Display: Poco M7 Pro will have a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. But, apart from the display being AMOLED, it also has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and a peak brightness of 2,100 nits. The screen will also have Gorilla Glass 5 protection for added durability.

— cameras: One of the highlights of the Poco M7 Pro is its camera setup, which is likely to be a Sony LYTIA LYT-600 sensor. It is rumored to be a 50MP sensor that comes with an f/1.5 aperture, which should be able to deliver good performance in low light. There may be a 20MP camera in the front for selfie.

– software: Poco M7 Pro will have HyperOS software, which will probably be based on Android 14. Additionally, there is a possibility that the phone may support two major OS updates and four years of security patches.

– audio:For those who still care, the Poco M7 Pro may also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, Poco has also confirmed that the phone will have dual-stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Now, if these specifications sound very familiar, that’s because they are almost identical to the Redmi Note 14, which has already launched in some global markets. This has led to speculations that the Poco M7 Pro could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 14. However, Poco may introduce some unique changes to differentiate both the devices. Overall, the Poco M7 Pro turns out to be a solid phone in the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment, with features like a 120Hz AMOLED display, an impressive main camera, and dual-stereo speakers along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. We will have to wait till tomorrow to see if Poco has any surprises in store.
