Jim Carrey on returning from retirement: Bought a lot of stuff, need money
Hollywood star Jim Carrey has returned to acting after previously announcing his retirement plans. Carrey said he needed the money, which is why he agreed to do Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Hollywood star Jim Carrey has returned to acting after saying during the Sonic 2 press meet that he would not return to acting. Carrey will be seen reprising his role of Robotnik in Sonic 3.
Speaking about his retirement plans, the actor said, “Yes, that might be an exaggeration. I came back to this universe because I got a chance to play a genius, which is a bit difficult. And you know, I bought a lot of stuff and I need the money, frankly.”
“Okay, I’m retiring,” Carey previously said. Yes, maybe. I am quite serious. It depends. If the angels bring me a script written in gold ink that tells me it will be really important for people to see, then I can continue down the road, but I’m taking a break.
“I really love my quiet life and I really love painting on canvas and I really love my spiritual life and I feel like that — and that’s something that you’ll never see any other celebrity do.” Will not listen to the saying as long as there is time – I have plenty of it. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be released in theaters on December 20th.
