Drew Taggart, one half of electronic DJ and production duo The Chainsmokers, is officially off the market. Andrew ‘Drew’ Taggart announced his engagement to his girlfriend of nearly two years, Marianne Fonseca, on Tuesday, December 3, via a joint Instagram post. “Hello yes!!” she captioned a slideshow of eight photos and two videos of what appears to be an intimate post-engagement dinner ceremony.
One of the assortment of black-and-white and color snaps shows Taggart, 34, looking lovingly at his fiancée while she wraps her arms around his neck and shoulders. In another photo, the couple shared a smooch to celebrate the milestone step in their relationship. In contrast, other photos and videos show Fonseca proudly showing off her new glow atop a giant bouquet of red roses.
At the evening dinner, the couple wore black and enjoyed good food and red wine, while friends, family and fans flooded their social media comment section with congratulatory messages.
Fonseca’s friend and model Hailey Bieber commented, “Yes.” “Wow!! Congratulations brother!! So happy for you!! Taggart’s friend, Dutch DJ Tiësto, wrote.
Alex Pal, the other half of the Chainsmokers, said, “Let’s go!!!” Chainsmokers are on the rise! Now the big question is, will Drew take one of Mari’s nicknames? Pal raised the question by sharing Taggart’s post on his Instagram Story to the tune of Orbit’s Friday Night.
Taggart and Fonseca were first romantically linked in May 2023, when the two were seen holding hands while leaving a VIP party hosted by Carbone restaurant in Miami.
Both of them often share information about their relationship on their respective Instagram pages. Recently, the pair dressed up as Alice and Larry from 2004’s Closer for Halloween. In September, Taggart shared a sweet photo of herself and her fiancé in formal black dresses in a vineyard. In July, he shared a humorous slideshow of photos from his summer getaway, during which he tried his best to get the perfect shot of his girlfriend.
Before Fonseca, Taggart was linked to Selena Gomez. The pair sparked romance rumors in January 2023 as they were spotted stepping out together several times in NYC that month. However, Gomez quashed any speculation of having a man in her life by sharing a graphic reading, “I love being single.”
Below the image, she added #iamsingle.
However, Gomez began dating her longtime friend and collaborator Benny Blanco shortly afterward. The two have been together for more than a year now.
