Xiaomi HyperOS 2 eligible devices

Xiaomi is releasing its new OS update in phases. The first phase will begin in November, starting with key devices:

Following the initial release, Xiaomi will expand the rollout in phases to include the following devices:

  • Poco series: F6, Poco X5 Pro 5G
  • Tablet: Xiaomi Pad 6, Redmi Pad Pro 5G

In particular, users with older devices not listed may need to wait longer or check whether their device will eventually support the new OS.

New features in HyperOS 2

Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 introduces significant upgrades to boost performance, enhance the user interface, and take advantage of AI-powered innovations.

1. Hypercore

At the heart of HyperOS 2, Xiaomi has embedded HyperCore, a new system kernel designed to optimize for more than 25,000 scenarios. According to Xiaomi, HyperCore improves system performance by reducing CPU idle time by up to 19%.

2. AI Tools

The OS includes several AI-powered features:

– Dynamic lock screen: AI-generated wallpapers that adapt to user preferences.

– HyperAI integration: Frame-by-frame video analysis creates cinematic depth effects, while static wallpapers can be animated with AI-generated content.

– AI Magic Tools: Transform sketches into digital paintings using the Mi Canvas app on Xiaomi tablets. AI writing tools refine text for a better finish.

– It also has AI-backed security features that can detect scam calls and alert users. The tools also identify deep fake videos.

3. Revised User Interface

HyperOS 2 introduces a redesigned desktop aimed at enhancing visual appeal and functionality. There are custom widgets and improved transition effects to provide seamless navigation to users. There is also a 3D real-time weather system that simulates actual atmospheric conditions for an immersive experience.

4. HyperConnect for cross-device sync

HyperOS 2 also includes the HyperConnect feature that enhances connectivity between Xiaomi devices and integrates with Apple’s ecosystem (in Mainland China).
