Unnamed airline had narrow ‘miss’ on UFO near New York: Pentagon

A commercial aircraft had a “near miss” with an unexplained aerial phenomenon, commonly known as unidentified flying objects or “UFOs,” over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of New York, according to a fresh report released by the Pentagon. Had happened. After a close brush, the airline crew reported the incident to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), saying that he had a “near miss” with a “cylindrical object” over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of New York. It remains unclear when the alleged near action occurred, or which airline was involved.

The Pentagon report said the New York case was the only incident recorded where a “potential flight safety issue occurred during the incident.” The agency that reviews all new incidents being reported by military personnel and now additional federal agencies is the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which said it is continuing its research into the Empire State case.

Specifically, between May 2023 and June 2024, AARO received 757 new incident reports, 485 that occurred in that time period and another 272 reports from 2021 and 2022 that were not previously reported to the lead agency. A total of 18 incidents were also recorded near US nuclear infrastructure, weapons and launch sites.

“Of the reported unmanned aerial systems (UAS), 10 flew over protected areas for periods of less than five minutes. Two cases involved long flights of 53 minutes and 1 hour and 57 minutes, respectively. The remaining six cases The duration of the flight is unknown,” the report said.

Due to the increasing backlog of cases, a large number of reports remain unresolved. At present AARO is investigating 444 cases.

‘Can’t explain them’

The Pentagon said in the report that it could not explain more than 20 reports of UAP sightings in the past year alone.

Dr. John Koslowski, AARO director, said, “There are interesting cases that I don’t understand because of my physics and engineering background and time spent in ICs, and I don’t know that anyone else understands them.”

“Orbs, cylinders, triangles, in one case, this has been happening for a long time, and it’s possible that many things are happening,” Koslowski continued, explaining what the UAP might look like.

Despite not being able to explain many reports. AARO said it had found “no evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity or technology”.
