Many fans of Zach Bryan were surprised when he announced his breakup with BFFs podcast host, Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia. Now, she has accused him of emotionally abusing her during their relationship.
According to People magazine, she talked about it on Thursday, November 7, on the above podcast, which she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards. Reportedly referring to Brian, she said that the last year of her life has been the hardest because she had to face “abuse” from this man.
“I’m still scared because I’m scared of him,” Brianna said, adding, “I’m crazy and I’m scared of making him mad and last week, I didn’t want to talk about it.” ‘ I was scared.”
Talking about the alleged abuse, the podcaster said that it was a constant cycle of harassing you, beating you up and apologizing again and again. She said there was always another excuse as to why he treated her poorly and why she cried herself to sleep every night.
Brianna continued, “Why is he yelling at me and then you wake up, it’s this apology, it’s this ‘I’m going to be better like I need you in my life,’ but if you’ve been through this – So I don’t expect people to understand emotional abuse if you haven’t been through it. I hope you never have to go through it, but if you’ve been there you know. What am I talking about.
On the podcast, he alleged, that Bryan’s former colleagues were forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) so they would not talk publicly about their own experiences with the country singer. According to People magazine, he claimed that his team offered him US$12 million along with a house and a New York apartment in order not to discuss the relationship.
She said that he convinced the women before him that they had no other choice but to take money from him and sign over their experiences and them.
The podcaster said that he sings his songs on stage as if he is a good person and that he has to treat people around him poorly. She said she wasn’t one of them and didn’t want his money.
Brianna said she didn’t want to buy a house two years from now and thought the money belonged to the man who had ruined it for a year.
The podcast host revealed that his decision to talk about the alleged experiences was for the sake of other people who have been emotionally abused and who are currently suffering from it.
Brianna expressed that this was for anyone who didn’t have the support she was lucky enough to have. She clarified that it was not “a matter of drama” for her to decide not to sign the NDA or take the money because she wanted to go out there and “expose” who she is.
She expressed her experiences about not signing and protecting someone who “hurt” her. Brenna said that she was much stronger than a “weak man, you and your money.”
