Nora Fatehi is an artist and dancer who caught everyone’s attention with her special roles in films. In the 2018 action film Satyamev Jayate, she enthralled the audience with her impressive performance in the song Dilbar. While the audience was extremely impressed with her dancing skills, the actress was a little surprised by the size of the blouse the team made for her. So he raised his voice against it and got it changed.
At the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Nora Fatehi recalled how she protested against wearing a short dress in the trending song Dilbar. During the event she said that the production team of Satyamev Jayate had to make a new blouse because the one they brought for her was too small and she had to put her leg down.
According to The Indian Express, she told the team that she could not wear it. “Don’t over-sexualize me. I understand, it’s a *xy song. We are all naturally sensual, but we don’t need to be vulgar about it,” she told the makers of the action-thriller as it was also Ramzan. The actress further told that the film’s director Milap Zaveri makes fun of her about this in many parties.
Recalling the incident when she initially refused to wear the clothes made for her, the Street Dancer 3D actress revealed that she had to reconstruct the entire blouse. Although she didn’t mind showing her stomach because of the beauty of the song, she couldn’t show too much cleavage. The publication quoted her as saying, “A lot of people find it a little too sexy, but for me, it was more about something I was comfortable wearing than what they were going to give me.”
Although this seems to be a powerful move, Nora also said that it was difficult because, at the time, she was a ‘nobody’. So, filmmakers can be like ‘Who do you think you are?’ Therefore they have to explain their point of view lovingly. Luckily, when he talked to Milap about this and said that he should not ruin the music and choreography of the track because of the blouse, the filmmaker agreed and went ahead with it.
