The new MacBook Pro is available for pre-order starting today. It will reach customers and stores on November 8, including the two Apple Stores in Delhi and Mumbai.

“MacBook Pro is an incredibly powerful device that millions of people use to do the best work of their lives, and today we’re making it even better,” said John Ternes, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering. “With the powerful M4 family of chips, and packed with pro features like Thunderbolt 5, an advanced 12MP center stage camera, an all-new nano-texture display option, and Apple Intelligence, the new MacBook Pro remains by far the world’s best. Pro laptop.”

Apart from a more powerful chipset – and from all indications we can gather that the M4 really is a beast – there aren’t too many changes to the MacBook Pro. Notably, the design remains the same. However, one big upgrade is the RAM over the base variant. The M4 laptop comes with a minimum of 16GB RAM while the M4 Pro and M4 Max variants come with 24GB RAM.

The MacBook Pro also gets a nano-texture display option, which is also something new for an Apple laptop as till now we have only seen this option on its external displays. Another upgrade is the built-in USB-C port. They now support Thunderbolt 5, which enables transfer speeds of up to 120GB/s.

As it launches the new MacBooks, Apple is also highlighting Apple Intelligence features, which are powered by a combination of generative AI systems like ChatGPT and Apple’s own in-house LLM. Apple Intelligence is part of macOS Sequoia 15.1, although users in different countries and different regions may not get all AI features at the same time. The Apple Intelligence Suite is a work in progress.

Apple says that by combining the generative model with the industry’s first privacy protections, Apple Intelligence harnesses the power of the Apple M4 and its Neural Engine to unlock new ways for users to work, communicate and express themselves on Mac. Uses up.

One more thing:

Along with the launch of the new MacBook Pro, Apple is also changing one part of the MacBook Air: the amount of RAM. The company says that the MacBook Air will now start with 16GB of RAM in its base variant. The price of MacBook Air will remain Rs 99,900 only.
