Krishna Abhishek visits ‘Mama’ Govinda’s house after 7 years: feels exactly like before
Comedian Krushna Abhishek recently met his uncle, actor Govinda, for the first time in seven years, following Govinda’s recent accident.

Comedian Krushna Abhishek has revealed about his emotional reunion with his uncle, Bollywood star Govinda, after a seven-year long separation. talking to times of IndiaKrishna revealed that he met Govinda, fondly called Chi Chi Mama, after the actor’s recent accident.
“I was in Australia when I heard about Chi Chi Mama’s accident. As soon as I returned to India, I met Mama at her home for the first time in seven years. It felt as if I had completed half the accident exile (Exile). He is recovering,” Krishna shared.
Reflecting on the reunion, he said, “I spent about an hour with him and met Nammo (Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja) after seven years. It was an emotional moment; I just hugged him.”
Confirming that their reunion is real, Krishna expressed how heartwarming the visit was. “We laughed and joked and reminisced about the old days. It felt just like before. All those years that I spent with uncle and aunt (Sunita) in their house flashed before my eyes. Now all the issues have been resolved, all the complaints have become fears (Now everything has been resolved, all the complaints have been resolved). I’m glad there was no mention of the past and families are like that. There may be misunderstandings, but nothing can keep us apart for long,” Krishna shared.
Although the visit did not include a meeting with Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja, Krishna admitted that he hopes to meet her soon. “I couldn’t meet Mami because she was busy, but honestly I was a little scared to face her because I knew she would scold me (laughs!). But if you commit some mistake due to your ignorance, then you should be ready to listen to the scolding of elders. (But if you commit any mistake due to your ignorance, then you should be prepared to listen to the scolding of the elders).”
Tension had risen between the two families after Govinda publicly expressed his displeasure over Krishna’s jokes at his expense. Sunita Ahuja also distanced herself from Krishna and his wife Kashmira citing abusive behaviour.
Since then, the families have kept their distance, until Govinda and his son, Yashvardhan, attended Krishna’s sister Aarti Singh’s wedding in Mumbai earlier this year, signaling the beginning of a possible reconciliation.
