Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar recommends carrying these 3 foods with you while travelling

Carrying home-cooked food while travelling is always on top of our priority list. Home-cooked food items like parathas, theplas and samosas always make the travel experience even better. But, eating healthy should always be given priority. This is where carrying travel-friendly snacks can play a vital role. To solve this problem, nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar has listed three food items that we must carry with us while travelling, as explained in her latest video posted on Instagram. Whether you are commuting to and from office or heading out for a vacation, these snacks will be your healthy companions.

Here are three healthy snacks to take along while traveling:

1. Ragi Laddu

Firstly, Ms Diwekar recommends carrying a laddu, especially a ragi laddu. She says it contains millet, ghee and jaggery which will ensure that even if you don’t get any food, you will still feel full because of the millet. The ghee in the laddu will also aid digestion and the jaggery will ensure that you don’t get constipated even if you are not drinking enough water. She says the best time to eat these laddus is between 4-6 pm.

2. Nuts

Second, Ms Diwekar recommends carrying nuts. According to the nutritionist, we can carry salted nuts, but we should add salt at home.

3. Dry breakfast

Finally, she says to carry some sort of “dry snack” with us, like khakhra or chivda or something that can be eaten dry. She recommends eating these whenever we need them.
