After Dimple Kapadia scolded her, Twinkle Khanna said she wished Hema Malini was her mother
Twinkle Khanna was jokingly reprimanded by her mother Dimple Kapadia for causing ‘noise pollution’ while complaining about cleanliness.
Actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna was recently slammed by her mother Dimple Kapadia for creating “noise pollution” as she complained about sanitation problems in the country. To this, Twinkle wished that actress Hema Malini, who endorses a water purifier brand and recently performed on the banks of the Ganga to promote the message of keeping rivers clean, was her mother.
In her latest column for the Times of India, Twinkle highlighted Sholay actress Hema Malini’s efforts to promote clean rivers and clean drinking water. “No one in the country is more interested in giving India clean water than Hema ji,” she wrote. Twinkle also revealed how Hema recently “performed a dance ballet on the banks of the Ganga to spread the message of keeping our rivers clean.”
Twinkle also revealed that although her mother Dimple Kapadia lives at a walking distance from her house, she doesn’t like walking because people don’t think twice before throwing garbage on the streets or “nothing can stop fellow Indians from making Rorschach pattern paans on street corners.”

When Twinkle called up her mother Dimple Kapadia to express her ‘particular displeasure’, she was told, “The noise pollution during Ganpati processions was much less than what you are dealing with now,” and then Kapadia hung up.
He joked, “This is not the first time I have wished Hema Malini was my mother. Not only could we have discussed clean water in detail, but I would also have got a free water purifier for life.”
