The plush bungalow of Kolkata’s former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Dr Sandip Ghosh, who is currently in CBI custody for alleged financial irregularities, has come under the scanner after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided several of his premises in West Bengal on Friday. Sources said the property belongs to Dr Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar, and his wife Sangita Ghosh. The plush bungalow, located in Canning, is surrounded by hundreds of acres of vacant land. Local residents said the property, which bears a nameplate ‘SangitaSandeep Villa’, is in the name of Ghosh and his wife Sangita.
