Actor Amitabh Bachchan is all set to play a guest role in the upcoming Gujarati film ‘Fakt Purush Mate’. The trailer of the film was released today, July 31.

The three minute six second trailer begins with the afterlife story of an old man, played by Darshan Jariwala. After his death, he meets Amitabh Bachchan (Prabhudas), who sends his soul back to earth for a while, giving him special powers.

Darshan Jariwala’s mission is to sabotage the impending wedding of his grandson, Brijesh (played by Yash Soni) and his fiancée, Radhika (played by Isha Kansara). On his return, Darshan Jariwala overhears Yash Soni talking to Isha Kansara on the phone. Irritated by Yash Soni’s infatuation, the grandfather contemptuously calls him ‘Chachunder’.

‘Fakt Purush Mate’ is a sequel to the Gujarati film ‘Fakt Mahilayo Mate’. Sharing the trailer on his social media handle, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “After the tremendous success of ‘Fakt Mahilayo Mate’, my dear friend Anand Pandit (producer) and his team are back with a roller coaster full of drama, emotion and comedy – ‘Fakt Purush Mate’ releasing on 23 August 2024. It was fun to play a special role in this special film.”

‘Fakt Purush Mate’ will release on August 23. It is directed by Jai Bodas and Parth Trivedi.
