"We are not against any candidate. We…": Vivek Ramaswami

Republican leader Vivek Ramaswami, who predicted that President Joe Biden will not be the Democratic presidential nominee for the November election, has said the country is not fighting against a candidate but against an unelected managerial class machine.

An Indian-American businessman-turned-politician on Monday said the speed with which the ruling Democratic Party has tried to replace incumbent President Joe Biden with Vice President Kamala Harris as a presumptive candidate for the November 5 elections raises many questions.

“We are not really fighting against a candidate here. We are fighting against a machine. It is about having a deeper understanding of what is going on that requires rejecting things that you might otherwise think,” Ramaswami said in a 15-minute video posted on various social media platforms.

During the Republican presidential debate last November, Ramaswami, 38, predicted that Biden would not be the Democratic presidential nominee, a claim dismissed by most of the mainstream media at the time as a ‘conspiracy theory’.

On Sunday, Biden shocked the nation by announcing he was withdrawing from the presidential race and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris, who is currently the Democratic Party’s only front-runner in the race.

He said, “We were not against Biden at all. His cognitive deficiencies, and I would say Kamala Harris’ cognitive deficiencies, are not a problem for the people who govern him. Those cognitive deficiencies are a feature. This is a cycle of the managerial class crushing the will of everyday citizens, not just in the Republican Party, but in the Democratic Party as well.”

Democrats may not agree with everything Donald Trump or the Republican Party says today, and that’s OK. No two Americans agree on 100 percent of policies. That’s a rare occurrence, Ramaswami, who suspended his Republican presidential campaign in January and endorsed former President Donald Trump, said.

But he said you deserve a president and a party that will at least tell you the truth, not just when it’s easy, but also when it’s hard and when it’s inconvenient.

“Beyond this individual game, whether it is Joe or Kamala, we have to understand that what we really want to do is defeat that machine, the rise of that managerial class, which is bigger than any other individual, it embodies the philosophy of the modern Left,” he said in a video that went viral on social media.

“This is not about individual agency. This is collective will. That is the real purpose of this machine…. That is what we are running against. That is what we want to defeat. That is the system we want to break. That is the real purpose of the deep state,” Ramaswami said.

“This is about unelected managers, you can call them elites, you can call them bureaucrats, you can call them monarchs, who have no accountability to the people but whose decisions actually have the greatest impact on the way citizens live their lives,” he said and urged Democrats to put their best possible candidate up for election.

Ramaswamy alleged that it is the Democrat Party and movement that has made keeping former President Trump out of office the main reason for its existence. “They have tried everything possible to stop him, within the legal system and also legally.” But all their efforts to keep him off the ballot have not only failed but have backfired, making Trump and the Republican Party even more popular, he said.
