Gaurav Gera: Aditya Dhar handles pressure easily, his working style is chaos-free
Gaurav Gera praised Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar’s calm and collected nature while working on the blockbuster film. He shared how Dhar’s evolved mindset and easy-going approach on the sets left a lasting impression on him.

In an exclusive conversation with India Today, he talked about working with director Aditya Dhar and how calm he was on the sets. The actor also shared that he connects with the 43-year-old filmmaker when he sees him talking on a public platform.

“This guy is so evolved, you know, he has clarity of thought, you can tell by listening to him. I remember, he was giving a speech somewhere or was on stage at some event. He talked about the industry, and at times you think it’s not for you, and then one moment changes everything. I felt like he was talking directly to me. That’s the beauty of this guy,” he shared.
Gera also called Aditya Dhar a “very sorted man” and said that both he and his wife Yami Dhar are beautiful people. “I think intellectually they are very well rounded people,” he said.

Talking about a young director like him directing two big blockbusters, Gaurav Gera said that it came easily to Aditya Dhar. He also recalled that he was surprised at how calm he was on the set despite everything that had happened.
The actor shared, “He did all this with such ease. I remember once on the set, when we were shooting Lyari, and he was casually scrolling on his phone. I asked him if it’s such a big film with such a big cast and so much happening. Don’t you get stressed? He just smiled and said, ‘I have a great team, I have nothing to worry about.’
“I remember this because I have often seen many filmmakers do this chilim chilli (Screaming). I have seen a lot of abusive directors. But here is a man who was so calm because he had confidence in his team. He is always smiling and very soft-spoken. Even now, see him giving credit to all his teammates on social media,” Gera said.
