In a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar for their cover story, the Fallout actress spoke at length about her conversation with Winona Ryder and how she preached to the young actress to stay grounded amid her rising fame. “She definitely helped me stay away from loneliness. It’s a very isolating and scary experience. To be able to talk to someone who had seen it firsthand, maybe even more so, was very comforting for me, and I can’t thank her enough for that,” Ortega claimed.
Ortega praised the Stranger Things star, claiming she has become his favorite person on set, reports E! News.
The actress gushed about her onscreen mother: “Winona is the sweetest, sweetest — I think she’s one of my favorite people I’ve ever met. I love her so much, and I’m so blessed to have had the chance to know her and work with her — she’s an angel on the planet.”
In the Beetlejuice movie sequel, the actress will play Astrid, who doesn’t believe in Beetlejuice’s curse. Despite her mother telling Astrid not to reveal the ghost’s name, Ortega’s character doesn’t listen to her.
