Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar: Revenge is setting new records at the box office, but the film’s poignant story has caught people’s attention for a different reason. Badrul Islam, an auto-rickshaw driver who appears briefly in the final scene of the film, has revealed that despite his role, he has not been able to watch the film in theaters yet due to financial constraints.

“I haven’t seen the film yet. The ticket costs around Rs 500 and the film has just been released, so I haven’t been able to watch it. I will watch it later,” Badrul says in a video clip going viral on social media. His honest confessions have touched many viewers.

When asked if her children wanted to see the film because of her appearance, she said they did. However, he said that with five family members, the total cost would be Rs 2,500. Since he could only save that amount in a month, he decided to wait before taking them to see the movie.

While the lead cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan are receiving praise, small roles like Badrul have also received recognition. Fans have appealed to director Aditya Dhar to arrange a free screening of the film for Auto-Rickshaw Driver.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: Revenge Released on 19 March. In just six days, the film has earned Rs 575.67 crore in India, while its domestic collection is close to Rs 687 crore. The overseas collection is Rs 231.57 crore, taking its total worldwide collection to Rs 919 crore.
