Parthiban criticizes Trisha after being seen with Thalapathy Vijay: ‘The mistake was made unknowingly’

R Parthiban recently commented about actress Trisha Krishnan after her public appearance with Thalapathy Vijay. After the comment went viral on social media, the actress issued a statement, and her Ponniyin Selvan co-actor has since doubled down on his comment.

R Parthiban reacts to Trisha’s recent comment

In a video shared by R Parthiban on social media, the actor-director said, “A mistake is something done unknowingly; wrongdoing is something done voluntarily. I realize that a mistake was made during a program. When I was talking about Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar, Trisha’s picture came up. I really didn’t know what to say, and I was really shocked. It’s being portrayed as if I was blaming her.” I was trying to do that, which is 100% wrong. I am not, I am not anyone’s slave, and I have never been paid to attend any event, and I will never do so in my lifetime, I will not join any political party or do anything wrong for money.

Parthiban said, “Just this morning I saw Trisha’s tweet. To be honest, I am talking in the third person about someone who is not related to me. In this issue, the only first person is Thalapathy Vijay, whose development I am happy with, and Sangeeta, his legal wife. I have no reason to talk about the third woman. I was only sad because I felt I have spoken in a way that women should stay at home.” (Translated from Tamil)

For those unaware, Parthiban had appeared on a program where he made a comment which translated as, “It is better to ask this Kundavai to sit at home for some time. It is better that he does not come out as it is creating a lot of issues.”

The comments came after Vijay and Trisha were seen together at a wedding reception. The alleged couple arrived at the event in coordinated outfits, sparking speculation about their relationship amid the superstar’s ongoing divorce dispute.

In response to Parthiban’s comments, the actress said, “A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. It just makes the stupidity more articulate.”
