Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela are taking care of three children. But for Upasana, motherhood the second time around seems calmer and more conscious. This is also because, among other things, her husband has been an efficient father. Upasana Konidela opens up about managing twins
Between diapers and burping clothes, Upasana Konidela keeps feeling calm. Stepping into motherhood for the second time doesn’t seem chaotic, because she’s been there, done that. In an interview with Variety India, Upasana revealed that her husband, actor Ram Charan, is a hands-on father, which has made things easier for her.
When she became a mother for the first time in 2023 to daughter Cline Cara Konidela, everything was beautiful and overwhelming for her. But this time, she feels more comfortable and grounded. “I’ve learned to let go of a lot and I don’t panic about the little things anymore,” says the entrepreneur, adding that managing twins is magical.
Upasana feels an extraordinary sense of fulfillment seeing her three children together. While she feels like every moment is a learning experience, the dearest mom admitted that her husband has been incredibly hands-on, especially with their eldest daughter, Cara. “They share a special bond. For us, making sure each child feels equally loved and safe really makes a difference,” the mom expressed.
Pregnancy is subjective. But Upasana didn’t feel the need to go on maternity leave before giving birth to her twins, a boy and a girl. He said there are actually no holidays in his line of work. So, she is connected that way. Upasana admitted, “I’m not sure whether to feel happy or conflicted about it. My work gives me purpose and happiness, and my children give me pure happiness.”
They feel that both their children and their business deserve attention and progress. Having said that, she is currently focusing on treatment and slowly delivering her next hospital project. For him, life is about striking a balance, and priorities change over time. Over the years, he has learned to adapt to that rhythm depending on the need.
After the birth of their twins, the couple hosted their near and dear ones for a naming ceremony. In the intimate event, they named their son Shivram and their second daughter Anvira Devi.
