Chhatha Pacha is scheduled to release on January 22, 2026. The film has reportedly completed its censoring process and has been given a U/A certificate. Furthermore, the runtime is stated to be 2 hours 14 minutes.
The film tells the story of a group of misfits who form a wrestling group in Fort Kochi. As the story unfolds, the film focuses on their rivalry and comical fights, which eventually lead them to greater challenges.
Directed by Advaith Nair, he has co-written this film with Sanup Thyakudam. It stars Roshan Mathew, Arjun Ashokan, Visakh Nair, Ishaan Shaukat, Siddiqui, Lakshmi Menon, Rafi, Carmen S Mathew, Dartagnan Sabu and many others in lead roles.
Furthermore, reports and the recent trailer indicate that Mammootty will be seen in a cameo role. The makers have teased a character named Walter, who is likely to be played by the veteran superstar.
The trailer reveals intense and action-packed moments of the story and is considered to be the first Malayalam film inspired by WWE-like elements.
The action-comedy features songs composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, while Kalamkaval fame Mujeeb Majeed handles the background score. Anand C. Chandran serves as the cinematographer, with acclaimed filmmakers Jomon T. John and Sudeep Elmon handling additional sequences. The film’s stunt choreography is by Kalai Kingson.
Roshan Mathew and Arjun Ashokan’s workfront
Roshan Mathew was last seen in the lead role in the Malayalam film Ithiri Neram, a romantic drama directed by Prashanth Vijay and co-starring Aattam fame Zareen Shihab. The film is currently available for streaming on SunNXT.
Meanwhile, Arjun Ashokan was last seen in Khajuraho Dreams. The actor is all set to debut in Tamil cinema opposite Ravi Mohan and SJ Surya in Ravi Mohan Productions’ first film.
