The film Bha Bha Ba starring Dileep in the lead role was released in theaters on December 18, 2025. After the theatrical release, the film is now available for streaming on OTT platform ZEE5.
Apart from the 2 Countries actor, the film stars Vineeth Sreenivasan, Baiju Santosh, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Sandy, Balu Varghese and many others in lead roles. Additionally, Mohanlal, SJ Suryah, Salim Kumar and others play cameo roles. If you are planning to watch the movie online, here is the Pinkvilla review you must read.
plot
Bha Bha Ba begins with the kidnapping of CK Joseph, the newly elected Chief Minister of Kerala, by a man who calls himself a “commoner”. After kidnapping the CM, he goes back to his hideout and urges the citizens to submit their complaints to him in writing so that he can deliver them directly to the minister.
As chaos ensues following the CM’s disappearance, a group of police officers led by Joseph’s son, Noble, attempt to capture the commoner and uncover his identity. It is revealed that the commoner is a man named Ram Damodar, also known as Radar, who is suffering from some mental health conditions.
What follows is a spoof-filled action-comedy story that focuses on why Radar kidnapped the CM, whether they share any past, and who is assisting them in the mission.
Good
Watching Bha Bha Ba becomes somewhat bearable, mainly because of its retro references. There are small narrative moments in the film that offer a few laughs, relying mostly on nostalgia and comic timing.
In many instances, the film effectively capitalizes on its meta nature, offering up some memorable moments. However, with average performances, haphazard narration and poor writing, the film fails to offer anything that really connects with the audience.
Talking about the technical aspects, Gopi Sundar does well with his background music. The composer has strung together some difficult tracks that are a joy to experience. Also, the reuse of the song Sona Sona for a fight scene comes as a pleasant surprise.
Armo’s cinematography also works well, although some frames seem heavily inspired by films like Leo and Good Bad Ugly.
bad
Bhaa Bhaa Baa is the best example of a movie that just makes noise and doesn’t provide any real entertainment. The film, which was hailed as Dileep’s comeback, does not come close to the humor level of his earlier ventures, merely scratching the surface of comic relief through references.
Following the wave of meta or “brain-rot” films in recent years, this film also attempts to enter the genre but fails completely. While other films in this genre may lack logic, they at least manage to be entertaining.
With the lazy inclusion of Thalapathy Vijay references and a cameo from Mohanlal, it becomes clear that the makers are attempting to cash in on the star power.
From a musical perspective, Shaan Rahman continues his recent streak of delivering mediocre compositions, resulting in a tracklist that adds little value. Even Mohanlal and Dileep’s dance number looks like a bootleg version of Leo’s Na Ready.
Additionally, editor Ranjan Pramod could have shortened important parts of the film, possibly reducing it to the length of an Instagram reel and saving the audience from wasting time in such a meaningless experience.
Furthermore, the writers included scenes that criticize or largely mock real-life events, making the film not only boring but also immoral and harsh.

Dileep attempts to regain his old charm through action-comedy, but fails to strike a balance between action and humour. Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan also try to save the film, but are unable to do so.
While Sandy Master provides some quiet moments, Mohanlal does his best with his cameos, though it is not enough to save the film. The seemingly forced cameo by SJ Surya, included just to set up a sequel that may never succeed, also feels wasted.

Decision
Bha Bha Ba is an aimless comedy venture that attempts to provide entertainment to Dileep’s fans by relying heavily on nostalgia and references. However, the fan service has reached saturation point and the film suffers from poor storytelling, so the viewing experience becomes tiring.
If you are not a die-hard fan of Dileep, it is better to skip this film, even on OTT.
