‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas’ upcoming horror-fantasy entertainer ‘The Rajasaab’ has officially started its music promotions, and the makers are pulling out all the stops. The first single, ‘Rebel Saab’ was unveiled at a grand event in Hyderabad over the weekend, which they describe as a huge fan fest. Directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, the big budget film is set for worldwide release on January 9, 2026.

Director Maruthi reveals how much the ‘Salaar’ actor pushed himself to deliver what fans were waiting for. The team shot several song sequences abroad, where Prabhas had to perform in harsh, freezing temperatures. Despite the circumstances, he continued to inspire the crew with the same focus: “We must give back to the fans what they have missed these days.”

The film promises a complete commercial package, including a high-energy introduction number, a romantic track and a dynamic group song featuring the three lead actors – Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar. Maruthi said that the film showcases every aspect that fans love about Prabhas – his swag, screen presence, dancing and emotional range – bringing him back “stronger than ever”.

Producer Vishwa Prasad said that the film took longer than planned because the team wanted to create something that was visually stunning and was truly a first for fans. ‘Rebel Saab’ alone involved around a thousand dancers, making it one of the biggest song productions in recent Telugu cinema. He also said that this may be the project on which Prabhas has spent the most working days, calling it a clear indication of his commitment and passion.

With a massive global release strategy and new confidence from the team during the key Indian festival of Sankranti, ‘The Rajasaab’ is being positioned as a major force to be reckoned with at the box-office, aiming to take it by storm on day one when it releases in theaters in January 2026. The film will clash with several other big budget films during the festive season, including Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayakan’, which releases on the same day.
