More information about Mahavatar Narasimha
Mahavatar Narasimha is based on the story of Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu. The film is based in the realm of gods and demons, where the demon king Hiranyakashyap is determined to avenge his brother Hiranyaksha, who was killed by the Varaha avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Hiranyakashipu performs penance to please Lord Brahma, who grants him immense power and immortal life. Empowered, he rules over Heaven, Earth, and Hell and eventually declares himself God.
His five-year-old son, Prahlad, is his complete opposite, epitomizing his unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu. Enraged by his son’s beliefs, Hiranyakashipu repeatedly tried to kill him, but failed every time.
When all hope is lost, Lord Vishnu incarnates as Narasimha, taking the form of a fierce protector. He kills Hiranyakashipu once and for all, ending his tyranny and restoring balance to the world.
