Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan is set to release in theaters on January 9, 2026. Directed by H. Vinoth, the makers have announced that the audio launch of the film will take place in Malaysia on December 27, 2025.

The makers officially confirmed the audio launch of Jan Nayakan through their social media handles. Along with the announcement, the team released an emotional tribute to the superstar, which included comments from fans reacting to his departure from the films.
The video also hinted that this may be the last time audiences will hear the actor speaking at an audio-launch event and delivering his iconic “Kutty Story” speech.

Janaa Nayagan is a political action drama starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role and directed by H. Vinoth. The actor is expected to play the role of a former police officer in the film, with Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde playing the co-lead roles.
Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Mamita Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narayan and many others in lead roles.
Recent reports suggest that Jana Nayagan will include a huge finale sequence in which Vijay’s character will face several humanoids. The theme of “human vs. AL” is expected to be explored in the high-octane climax.
The action sequence is rumored to be one of the most spectacular ever created in Indian cinema; However, this information remains speculation until officially confirmed by the manufacturers.
Recently, the first single from the film, titled “Thalapathy Kacheri”, was unveiled. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the track is a fun, celebratory song dedicated to the superstar.
Interestingly, the last one minute of the song will be released only in theatres, and is rumored to feature a remix of Vijay’s old hit songs.
Reportedly, the digital rights of the film have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video for a mind-blowing price.

Thalapathy Vijay was last seen in the spy action drama The Greatest of All Time (also known as The Goat). Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film starred Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Meenakshi Choudhary and many others in lead roles.
