After a decade-long hiatus, actor Imran Khan is preparing for his cinematic comeback with a deeply personal film. His return reflects significant life changes and artistic development, marking a new phase in his career.

Actor Imran Khan is preparing for his comeback after a decade long gap. His return to cinema is not motivated by a desire to regain fame, but he has described it as a “natural progression”, inspired by how life experiences have reshaped him more deeply than his previous acting career. He also reflected on divorce and prioritizing personal growth.
Imran, in an interview with Hindustan TimesSaid, “This film is exactly what the team of ‘Break Ke Baad’ (2010) would be doing after 15 years in life. It’s a natural progression. Danish (Aslam) and I have collective life experience now. He is married, and I have gone through a divorce.”
The actor gushed about his next film coming 15 years after ‘Break Ke Baad’ and shared, “This is the film we should be making after 15 years. It’s a very personal project that came from a creative desire to tell a story and work with dear friends. The shooting is complete, and it is in post-production. We are looking at releasing it once the streaming platform decides on the date.”
In the same interview, he also talked about working in the film with actor Bhumi Pednekar. He said, “It was a co-creative decision. We all agreed on her (Bhumi) and what she would bring to the film. We were very clear about it. She brought a good atmosphere to the set. It was the same with Gurfateh (Peerzada). In fact, this is the happiest set I have ever been on.”
Imran Khan was last seen with Kangana Ranaut in the 2015 film ‘Katti Batti’. After this, he made his directorial debut in 2018 with the short film ‘Mission Mars: Keep Walking India’.
Bhumi, who played a pivotal role in the untitled film, was last seen in ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ (2025), starring Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh.
