HAQ has touched a new low by collecting Rs. 60 lakh on its second Friday, a decline of 40 percent compared to Thursday. The film, starring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, is struggling to hold on at the box office, despite receiving a positive response from critics and audiences. The decline is worrying; However, it is likely to register an increase on Saturday and Sunday.
Just Ek Banda Kafi Sahi Hai and directed by The Family Man Season 2 fame Suparn Verma, the courtroom drama started with Rs. 1.80 crore in its opening week and Rs. 13.65 crores. HAQ’s current cumulative total now stands at Rs. Has reached. Earning Rs 14.05 crore at the Indian box office. It will depend on how the film fares against Ajay Devgan’s De De Pyar De 2 that will decide how far it can go in the long run.
The film has performed better than Emraan Hashmi’s last solo release, Ground Zero, but remains miles away from Yami Gautam’s last solo release, Article 370. As of now, HAQ’s fortunes are trending towards an unfavorable outcome. Let’s see if it can gain good traction in the long run.
