Mohanlal’s Hridaypurvam review and rating.

It is always captive to see their Yesteeryar stars, who once fell in love with you cinema, yet continue to give you films that not only achieve business success, but are also supported by powerful materials. 2025 Malayalam superstar has been unprecedented to Mohanlal, who gifted ‘L2: Empuran’ – a film that took to right -wing politics – and followed it with a delicious thriller ‘Thaudram’ based on a father -son pair. ‘Hridayapoorvam’ is the third release of his year and a possible hat -trick. But is it hit by gold? Let’s know!

Sandeep Balakrishnan (Mohanlal) is a heart transplant survivor living in Kerala, where he runs a cloud kitchen. The months after her recovering, Harita (Malavika Mohanan), the daughter of her heart donor (Colonel Ravi), comes to Pune to invite her engagement to Pune. The Caos strike, the engagement is closed and Sandeep is forced to stay at Harita’s house with her attendant Jerry (Sangeet Pratap).

As the days pass, Sandeep is fond of Haritha and her mother Devika (Sangita Madhavan Nair). What happens in his life during Sandeep’s extended migration? Will Harita come with her father’s death? We get answers to all these questions and more during two and a half hours.

‘Hridayapoorvam’ directly translates to the heart. The film is bus and more directed by Sathian Anthikad. It is presented a straight-to-heart of a warm, fuzzy play which depends a lot on human emotions. Many films do not deal with sorrow with sensitivity. Tamil film starring Dhanush and Nithya Menon, ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ is one such film. ‘Hridayapoorvam’ gives a depiction of sorrow that is not clinch.

‘Hridayapoorvam’ likes a lot, just because it makes you laugh, feel emotions and probably sheds a tear. You travel with Mohanlal’s Sandeep. How he heat up for him with early strangely strangely around Harita and his family, takes you to Sandeep’s world, and you cannot help, but fall in love with him. With him, he is a great Jerry, which is the life of music, which is the life of the film.

Mohanlal and Sangeeta Pratap’s comic timing ‘Hridaypurvam’ makes a delightful drama about a mother and daughter, which deal with the loss of their loved ones. It is also a film about a person who has got another shot in life, and comes with a fresh passion. In this process, he learns about the importance of human relationships. Sandeep’s last monopoly addresses a group of people who fulfill their arc.

Mohanlal, being a legend, enchanted us with his small antics, which makes Sandeep one of the most loved characters in the film. Music, who stole our heart as Amal Davis in ‘Premlu’, once again mesmerized all of us with our impeccable comedy timing.

But ‘Hridaypurvam’ is not only related to Mohanlal and Skath Pratap. It is equally related to mother-daughter pair, Sangita and Malavika Mohanan. Sangita’s depiction for a mother and a wife that just wants to be seen and in her life, Harita’s yearning is dealt with very heartly to feel a father’s comfort. Siddiq and Baburaj also provide concrete performance to assistant characters.

However, ‘Hridaypurvam’ has minor flaws. The pessing of the film cannot be a cup of tea. Some sequences are not necessarily adding nothing to the film. Two songs, sets in an engagement and one other montage, act as speed-breaker. In addition, the scene where Harita apologizes to a man for a mistake, she could not be done in a film that is almost politically motivated.

‘Hridayapoorvam’ is a beautiful feel-gud no-bakwas drama which is all heart. This is a welcome departure from all the violence-gourd films that have become the taste of the weather.

– Ends
3 out of 5 stars for ‘Hridayapoorvam’.
