‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is still one of the most liked romantic films of Bollywood, which is known for her fun and relative story. Along with its talented actors, the film made the characters of Bitti, Chirag and Pritam rebel really memorable.
The film is still loved by fans, so many sequels were expected. But director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari has clearly stated that she does not plan to make one.
Now speaking with the Times, he explained, “I am Sequel is not a very big fanUnlike this fact, I know that it is good to be sequel because you always adopt and move forward. But, a sequel should be so good that it should be better than your previous one. It has to cross the expectations of the previous one and when you are telling that story, it should be at time and age. ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ happened eight years ago. ,
He further explained how many things have changed since then. “At that time, Lucknow and Bareilly were called Midtown. Now they are cities. A lot of things have changed in eight years. Roads are better, the way they have changed the dress and have improved the standard of living. There is a lot of work and a lot of thinking. I am always very careful. Are you sequel to making it a sequel or you are really doing it because you are doing it.”
Based on Nicholas Barreu’s novel ‘The Concepts of Love’, the film also included steller performance by Pankaj Tripathi and Seema Pahwa.
