Mohit Suri on making Sierra on Aashiqui 3: No pressure of sequel, opening day
Director Mohit Suri revealed why he did not direct Aashiqui 3 and shared an insight about making Siara. He highlights freedom from the sequel and praises Anurag Basu for handling the project.

‘Siara’ director Mohit Suri recently admitted that he was initially in a conversation with the Aashiqui 3 makers, who was to develop his next film as part of the franchise. However, he decided to move away as the manufacturers were in “hurry” to start the project.

Suri mentioned that Yash Raj Films (YRF) president and producer Aditya Chopra saw a rough editing of the film and predicted that it would cross Rs 100 crore at the box office. ‘Siarra’ has the beginning of the acting of actor Chunky Pandey’s nephew and actor Ananya Pandey’s cousin Ahaan Pandey.
The film also includes actor Anit Padada as a female head. Aetet made his Bollywood debut ‘Salaam Venky’ (2022). He also showed the prime video series in ‘Big Girls Dont Cry’ (2024).
‘Siara’ was released in theaters on July 18, 2025.
