Filmmaker Hansal Mehta Aamir Khan’s strong support has been revealed by Aamir Khan’s decision to release ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’ as a pay-per-view title after his dramatic run. Explaining the benefits of the scheme in a long social media post, he called it “smart, forward-looking move which is entitled to applause, not the criticism of knee shock.”
Mehta shared a wide perspective on the X, explaining why this step is not a threat to the traditional model, but a healthy and more inclusive distribution is a step towards the ecosystem.
Mehta wrote, “Our ecosystem is ignorant towards immediate satisfaction and a handful of huge glasses.”
“The dramatic windows are treated as harsh commandments, while OTT has become the only post dramatic refuge. So many thoughtful films disappear or become dull. It is neither durable nor fair for the diversity of work. If this model works, it will hug more producers to return more producers, who follow this field.”

Aamir Khan has officially announced that ‘Sitaare Zameen Par ‘will be released as a pay-per-view on YouTube Film after their time in theaters. This means that people can watch it online by paying 100 rupees. The film will be available on Khan’s YouTube channel on 1 August.
