Rishab Shetty’s upcoming film Kantara Chapter 1 has already attracted attention for all the right reasons. In October 2025, the film, which hit the big screen, recently wrapped its filming. Rishha Shetty has left no stone unturned for Kantara Chapter 1, whether it is a huge scale of the project or its complicated story. Talking about the latter, the film is said to lose the Tulu region in Karnataka and rather to detect ancient cultural traditions.
A report by the Bollywood Hungama quoted a source close to the film as saying that Prequel would revolve around the original story of Panjuri Daiva and Guliga Daiva gods of the region.
The source said, “While Kantara gave an insight into Panjuri Daiva, the prequel will give the audience a kind of cinematic experience with the involvement of Panjuri Daiva and Guliga Daiva Divyangs”.

As far as the history of culture and tradition is concerned, Panjruli and Guliga Daiva deities are iconic figures in the Bhuta tradition of worship. This includes a call for souls.

Regarding the fee hike of Rishah Shetty for Kantara Chapter 1
Kantara Chapter 1 is undoubtedly designed on a mega scale, which is unmatched by any other. A previous report from Koimoi revealed that Rish Shetty had allegedly gained 25 percent from the charge for Kantara.
As a result, the prequel saga was Rs. 100 crores for the film, like many other contemporary actors, with profit-sharing deal entering the deal.
In addition, Rishhab Shetty has also allegedly received an advance payment of Rs. 50 crores for the film too.
