Exclusive: Kajol says that working with mother Tanuja with her shivering
Kajol revealed that she trembled during shooting with her mother Tanuja, describing experience as real. The pair was shooting for the film, Superrohero of Tunpur.

Kajol reflected on one of the most real and emotionally charged moments of his career – sharing screen space with his mother, experienced actor Tanuja. Despite decades of experience in front of the camera, Kajol admitted that shooting with her mother was only when she was really nervous.
Talking to India Today today, the MAA actor opened his career about his most challenging co-star. Kajol admitted, “The most challenging co-actor was to put me in front, and I really shivered in front of my mother,” Kajol accepted. “For only one time in my life, I did with him in ‘Tunpur Ka Superhero’, I was really nervous. I’m not usually a nervous person when it comes to doing this work. I know what I am doing. I know how to go about it. I know how to focus on myself.”
But his mother’s presence changed everything. “With him, I felt this wandering. I stood in front of my mother, in front of the camera. It was a very real experience,” he said
Kajol also reflected on other malignant actors who challenged and inspired her on screen. He said, “I think one of the most challenging people, with whom I had to work with, was perhaps Tanvi Azmi and Renuka Shahen,” he said, recalling his time together on the Netflix film ‘Trianga’, who was acclaimed by critics.
The actor said, “Tribhugha was one of the projects where I really felt that there was such a joy to work with the entire artists. I had a wonderful time to work with them – with them all,”, the actor said.
Kajol was recently seen in ‘Maa’, which was released on 27 June. She will next be seen in ‘Sarzemin’, including Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan. The film is scheduled to release on 25 July.
