Singer-actor-actor Diljit Dosanj rejected rumors of being replaced in ‘Border 2’ amid the ‘Sardar Ji 3’ controversy. He shared a video from the set of the upcoming battle drama as he shot a dance sequence.
The video featured Diljit Dosanj in a formal suit from his vanity van while walking in a formal suit with a batch and army logo. He then walks inside the set as he is ready for the shooting sequence of a dance.

In a special chat with India today, BN Tiwari, president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), said Bhushan Kumar requested him to allow Diljit to shoot. He said that the Federation has now canceled its order and the actor will now be to be a part of ‘Border 2’.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Ashok Pandit told India Today, “Diljit Dosanjh will never be cast in future films. A letter has been issued to the Federation.” He said that non -cooperation against Diljit would continue for future projects.
Talking about Diljit being a part of ‘Border 2’, he shared, “The film has no Pakistani actor and is based on its security forces and hence the matter was considered by the Federation.”
Earlier, it was reported that Dosanj has been converted into ‘Border 2’ amidst the controversy around his film ‘Sardar Ji 3’, in which Pakistani actor Hania Aamir faced a backlash to cast. A source close to the film told Today India Given that ‘Border 2’ focuses on the Indian Army, the manufacturers felt that the actor would not be suitable for the role.
However, the new video clearly reveals that the actor is very part of the upcoming film, including Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol and Ahaan Shetty in lead roles.
Earlier, FWICE issued strong statements, demanding ‘Border 2’ manufacturers demanding them.
Earlier, Diljit shared a video on Instagram in which he warmly welcomed the set of ‘Border 2’. The makers also shared a picture of the entire artists.
The battle drama, which is the sequel to the 1997 hit film ‘Border’, is scheduled for the release of Republic Day weekend on 23 January 2026.
