Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is set to reunite with Diljit Dosanjh for his next project, which will be a hit in theaters in April 2026, which will listen to the festival of Baisakhi.

Bill, as “attractive story of love and longing”, the untitled film marked the second cooperation of the pair after its much awaited 2024 release, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’.

Helping Imtiaz Ali’s vision in life is a great artist that includes Diljit Dosanj, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharavari. A set against a contemporary and funny background, the film delays complications of human connections and promises an attractive cinematic trip.

In the upcoming project, the prestigious trio, including AR Rahman, Irshad Kamil and Imtiaz Ali, will also be rejoined, whose creative cooperation has earlier gifted Indian cinema with some of its most timeless tunes.

Legendary poet Momin Khan citing Momin’s couplet, “You are with me, Jab Koi Dosara Nahin Hot” (You are with me, however, when there is no one else), Ali said that he has to offer “touching cinematic experience”.

“Can love be really losing? Can the house be taken away from someone’s heart? This film has a big heart. It has a big canvas, yet very personal. It is a boy and a girl’s story, but also a country. We are well dipped in the streams of this dynamic story. We hope to grow with a touch cinematic experience in a theater next year.

Filming is expected to begin in August this year.
