1. Look at the PA rating of your sunscreen: While the SPF rating is heavily marketed, the PA value of your sunscreen is equally important, if not more so. It determines how well your sunscreen protects you from UVA rays. UVA rays penetrate deep into our skin and cause pigmentation and aging. So, make sure your sunscreen has a PA Triple Plus rating and an SPF above 30.

2. Less is more: Gone are the days of boring 10-step skin care routines. People are now turning to simple skin care. As a dermatologist, I’m telling you that for summer, you don’t need more than 4-step skin care. Just focus on the basics – a cleanser, moisturizer, repair and protect regimen and you’ll be fine. 3. Personalize your skincare: A huge trend and one that I approve of! Your skin is different from everyone else’s, so products that work beautifully for them may not work for you. So, consider getting a personalized skincare routine from a dermatologist. (Pexels)

4. For good skin, pay attention to your hair: If you use your hair oil on dirty hair, leave it overnight. Dirt and bacteria are then likely to transfer to the face, clogging pores and pimples. So in summer, I would recommend using the oil on clean hair and leave it on for a maximum of 3-4 hours. Then wash it off. (Armin Rimoldi on Paxel)

5. Eat a good hydrating diet: Include seasonal fruits and vegetables with high water content like watermelon, muskmelon or cucumber. Tomatoes are another good option for glowing skin. In addition to hydrating fruits, you should also include probiotics in your diet. (Pixabay)

7. Say yes to ceramides: Ceramides deserve the hype! They make up 50% of the outermost layer of your skin. This helps maintain your skin's barrier without making the product feel heavy on the skin this summer. (Monstera)
