Local officials said civilians were killed on both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian border as drone and artillery attacks intensified over the weekend.In Russia’s Bryansk region, a Ukrainian drone hit a car near the border, killing two people, the region’s acting governor said. The Defense Ministry said Russian air defenses intercepted 124 Ukrainian drones in several areas in 12 hours.In Ukraine, Russian shelling and drone strikes killed one person and injured another near Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Two people were killed in Ukrainian drone strikes in Horlivka and Makiivka, in Russian-controlled parts of the Donetsk region.In the northern Sumy region, a 66-year-old man died when a Russian drone attacked his home. In Zaporizhia, nine people, including two children, were injured in attacks overnight, which partially destroyed a residential building.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukrainian forces attacked the Titan-Barricade facility in Volgograd, a major industrial complex where Russia produces artillery and missile components.In the Rostov region of Russia, a Ukrainian drone attacked a World War II museum, injuring 12 people. Ukraine’s SBU also reported a drone attack on an oil pumping station east of Moscow, calling it vital for fuel supplies to the capital.Separately, a Ukrainian drone strike in Russia’s Krasnodar region killed one person and injured another, causing a fire at an oil refinery and damaging a power line and gas pipeline. Russian officials said 213 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over the weekend.
