These incidents pose a significant risk to consumers, causing many foodborne illnesses. However, this issue is not limited to fast food or online ordering; Even the packaged snacks and namkeens available from local grocery stores are not untouched by this. In a shocking case, a one-year-old girl from Gujarat suffered from diarrhea after eating namkeen from a sealed packet of famous brand Gopal Namkeen. The reason? A dead rat was found inside the packet.

According to NDTV report, this tragic incident took place in Prempur village of Sabarkantha, Gujarat. Sharing the story, the girl’s father said, “We bought a packet of Gopal Namkeen, and my wife was feeding our daughter when she started vomiting after eating. We found a dead rat in the packet. My The daughter fell ill, suffering from diarrhoea.” And was admitted to Dawood Hospital.” The father has demanded strict and immediate action from the Food and Drug Department regarding the negligence of the Namkeen brand.
This is not the first time such incidents have surfaced online. Rajiv Shukla from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh shared a disturbing experience after ordering food from a restaurant in Mumbai.
