- The event was held in Hollywood, Los Angeles at Tesla Dinner and Supercharger.
- However, the project has to be delayed, but Tesla targets commercial sales by 2026
Elon Musk is consistently demonstrating expansion capabilities of Tesla’s optimus humanoid robot, and the latest showcase includes popcorn. Optimus has continued to choose new tricks, from turning T-shirts and moving in rock-paper-script to dance and human speed. In the most recent video shared on X (East Twitter), an optimus robot is seen politely serving a person popcorn.

In the video, the robot holds a packet, fills it in two accurate inserts, then assigned it with a thumb-up and a wave. While this process is slightly slower than human speed, it is impressively streamlined, no spread, no fambling and a satisfied customer.
After watching this video, a user asked where it was happening. For this, Groke replied, “Tesla Optimus Robot is serving Popcorn in Tesla Dinner in 7001W and the soft inauguration of the supercharger station. Santa Monica Boleward, Hollywood, Los Angeles.”
In addition, Musk wrote in the post, “It will be normal in a few years.” Their claims strengthen the long -standing vision of the Humanoid robot to become a regular part of our daily life.
Musk has often described the optimus bot as a common-purpose partner capable of performing a wide range of tasks. Speaking at the Robot event last year, she boldly claimed that these machines can “do anything,”, and imagine the near future, where they would “walk right for you and serve drinks.” In addition, Musk believes that they will be able to walk your dog, lawns, the midwife will cut grass, and help in countless other ways.
However, Tesla’s humanoid robotics journey has been away from smooth. The idea was first introduced in 2021 when Musk unveiled the Tesla Bot concept, later rebuilt as optimus. Initially slate for release in 2023, the project is delayed, still under active development with robots.
In 2022, Tesla revealed a running prototype, which was capable of basic functions such as object retrieval. During his first immoral public performance, Musk referred to security concerns, “We didn’t want it to fall on her face.” The bot was successfully shown to raise objects and even water to plants.
By July 2024, Musk shared an updated roadmap, suggesting that Tesla could start commercial sales of optimus by 2026. Nevertheless, a few months later in Tesla’s “V, Robot” event in October 2024, it became clear that the project is still developing. Many robots were seen in this incident, which were operated remotely by humans, underlining that technology has not yet reached complete autonomy.
Despite the failures, the Tesla is firm to push the envelope. With each bizarre demo, popcorn is now involved, optimus is close to the grand vision of a future musk where humanoid robot smartphones are common.
