ABC has confirmed that fans of the general hospital will not see a new episode on Friday, July 4, 2025. The long -running day soap is taking a short break for the Independence Day holiday. Instead of broadcasting a new installment, the network will broadcast an enkor episode to keep its holiday tradition alive.

The network follows this schedule every year. On a major American holidays like July 4, the General Hospital usually takes a stagnation. The ABC is planning a break because the number of spectators often falls during the national holidays when people travel or spend time outside.
Like previous years, the soap will transmit a reunion to fill the slot. This year’s repeat episode was originally aired on 24 November 2024. The new episodes will return to Eastern on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Central / 2:00 pm.
