Shraddha Kapoor is the talk of the town these days. The actress, who plays the lead role in ‘Stree 2’, has had a great success with Amar Kaushik’s film ‘Kahaani’. The horror-comedy is inching towards the Rs 400 crore mark in just a week. However, Shraddha’s career hasn’t always been rosy, with her initial films failing at the box-office. On Throwback Thursday, recall the time when Shraddha said she felt she had chosen the ‘outsider’s path’ and didn’t have banner-backing.

“Somewhere I have had my own journey,” he said, adding, “I don’t think there is any particular banner behind me. So, somewhere I feel I have chosen my own path or route.”

“I think the appreciation that I have got, be it for ‘Aashiqui 2’ or ‘Ek Villain’, I feel like I have taken an outsider’s approach and I am loving it,” he said.
Shraddha Kapoor made her debut with ‘Teen Patti’ and appeared in ‘Luv Ka Di End’, which also starred Taha Shah Badusha. Both the films failed to do well commercially. The actor, who had signed a three-film contract with YRF, later broke it and worked in ‘Aashiqui 2’, which turned out to be a blockbuster.
Shraddha Kapoor has seen both hits and flops in her career, but the actor is now at the peak of her career. The grand success of ‘Stree 2’The film which released on August 15, is currently running in theatres.
