When Aasif Sheikh asked Salman Khan to take off his shirt because the policeman couldn’t recognize him
Actor Aasif Sheikh recalls fun experiences of working with Salman Khan. He told that once he was stopped by the traffic police. Asif also praised Salman’s genuine personality.
Many of Salman Khan’s co-stars often describe the experience of working with him as no less than a party. Babiji Ghar Par Hain fame Asif Sheikh recently recalled his experience of working with Salman in the 1998 film Bandhan. He told how one day Salman took him for a walk, drove on the footpath and was caught by the traffic police.
talking to The LallantopAsif told India Today’s sister channel, “We were young then and Salman had an esteem at that time. He made me sit next to him, and he started driving everywhere on the footpath and on the road. I said, ‘Salman will be caught (We will be caught).’ He said, ‘If you get caught then it’s Salman Khan, don’t worry. (Don’t worry even if we get caught, you are with Salman Khan)”
As they proceeded, the traffic police stopped them and the police officer refused to recognize Salman.
“He rolled down the window, and the traffic police didn’t actually recognize him,” Asif recalled. Asif told that Salman was surprised that the policeman did not recognize him. ‘He didn’t recognize me. I said, take off your shirt, maybe he will recognize you. (He said he didn’t recognize me. I said take off your shirt; maybe he might recognize you),” Asif said, laughing.
Narrating another incident from the shooting of the 1997 film Auzaar in Hyderabad, Asif said that his friends had come to meet him on the sets in their new car. Salman insisted on driving it and for some fun, he drove recklessly, causing Asif’s friend to worry about his new car. After reaching the hotel, Salman teased Asif and his friend and asked them about the car ride.
However, Asif praised Salman and his working style. He said, “Working with him is like having a party on the set. I don’t know how people perceive him, but he is the most cheerful person. He is in a completely different league. You can’t compare with Salman.” Any; He is a true person. He is just like that in front of you. Even if he wants to misbehave in front of you, he will praise you if you do a good job.”
