Xiaomi combines many product series, but the T-series is special – it still has some “flagship killer” feeling. This year’s Xiaomi 14T series builds on the successful formula of last year’s 13T phones, with mostly small but meaningful upgrades.
Newer models upgrade to the next chipset. For the Xiaomi 14T Pro, this means the Dimensity 9300+ replaces the 9200+, resulting in a notable performance increase in most benchmarks and a slight bump in some. However, Xiaomi could have done more with the cooling. On the plus side, the leap towards faster storage (from 3.1 to UFS 4.0) is appreciated.
The Pro model also adds wireless charging, also at a fast 50W. The 5,000mAh battery capacity and 120W wired charging remain unchanged. Another plus is that the battery endurance has increased from 11:50 hours to a 12:32 hours active usage score.
Highlights of Xiaomi 14T Pro
The Xiaomi 14T chooses the Dimensity 8300 Ultra, which was a significant upgrade from the 8200 as it uses the new ARMv9 core. However, the performance increase is quite modest.
Both phones use a revised version of last year’s beautiful 6.67” OLED panel – it has a 1220p+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate (though not all software can use that speed). It also offers 12-bit color with Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The improvement this year is that the maximum brightness has been increased to 4,000 nits (from 2,600 nits), although the general maximum brightness remains the same.
Xiaomi 14T Highlights
Both 14T models feature reworked camera hardware without any major changes – the exception here is the new 32MP selfie camera, which can now record 4K video (up from 20MP 1080p). However, despite the new cameras, neither phone is great for selfies.
The base 14T didn’t have wireless charging, leaving it with only basic 67W wired charging for its 5,000mAh battery. Battery endurance is about 50 minutes less, based on our active usage score: 11:32 hours vs. 12:23 hours.
Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro chipset and charging details
The two 14T models launch with HyperOS based on Android 14 and Xiaomi promises 4 major OS updates and 5 years of security patches. These are among the first to get access to Google’s AI features – Circle to Search and AI Magic Erase Pro, although some AI features will be enabled with a later update.

That leaves just one thing: pricing details for both of these. The Xiaomi 14T (12/256GB) starts at €650, while the Xiaomi 14T Pro (12/256GB) starts at €800.
The 14T series launched on the same day as the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and both phones are really competitive. The Exynos 2400e may not be the top chip from Samsung’s foundry, but it rivals the Dimensity 9300+.
The 6.7” OLED display isn’t that good (1080p+ resolution, 120Hz, 1,900 nits peak) and the 50+8+12MP will have to prove itself. The phone packs a 4,700mAh battery with only 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. The base 8/128GB model is €750 and you can pick up the 8/256GB version for €810.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE • Motorola Edge 50 Ultra
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a comparable 6.7” OLED display: 1220p+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2,500 nits peak. OK, it’s not as bright and doesn’t have a 12-bit panel, but it’s closer than the Galaxy. The 50MP main camera has a larger sensor, with a 64MP 72mm tele lens on board and a 50MP ultra-wide (the 14T Duo has a 12MP ultra-wide).
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 can’t match the Dimensity 9300+, but the 4,500mAh battery lasts much farther (12:56h active usage score) and is faster to charge (125W wired, 50W wireless). The Edge 50 Ultra can be found for €900 for a 16GB/1TB unit.

The Honor 200 Pro also uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, but it’s a more affordable model – a 12/512GB unit can be yours for €600 (€50 less than the 14T with half the storage). While the 8s couldn’t beat the 9300+, it beats the Dimensity 8300 Ultra easily. The phone has a 6.78” 1224p+ display (120Hz, 10-bit, 4,000 nits peak).
Its selfie camera combines a 50MP unit with a 2MP depth sensor, on the back there’s a 50MP main (1/1.3″), 50MP 2.5x tele and 12MP ultra-wide. The 5,200mAh battery drains very quickly (11:08h Active Usage Score) but supports 100W wired and 66W wireless charging.
Honor 200 Pro • Realme GT 6
The Realme GT 6 is more expensive, at €700 for the 12/256GB model (you can get the 8/256GB phone for €600). It uses the same Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and features a 6.78” OLED, an LTPO panel that reaches an impressive 6,000 nits. It has a 50MP main camera (1/1.4″), 50MP 47mm tele and 8MP ultra-wide.
The large 5,500mAh battery posted an impressive 14:32h active usage score in our tests, but it only supports 120W wired charging (no wireless). Note that the Honor and Realme only have basic IP65 water resistance, while the two 14T models have full IP68.
