How do you entertain yourself during a long flight? Some people watch a movie, read a book, look out the window or simply take a nap. However, one coffee lover could not resist himself from making a delicious cup of coffee during the flight. This coffee was not prepared from instant coffee powder. No, the man decided to make an artisanal pour-over coffee “30,000 feet in the air”. This unique attempt was captured and posted on Instagram by content creator @montana.ontour. She was sitting behind the man making the coffee and captured the entire process.
The video went viral on Instagram and has garnered 9.8 million views. The clip begins with the man grinding coffee beans. Next, he sets up the filter and kettle and carefully pours the water needed to make an artisanal pour-over coffee. Finally, the freshly brewed coffee is poured into a cup.

The video reads, “This is not the guy who was sitting in front of us on the plane and taking out all the stuff to make a great coffee during the flight. He grabbed us by the whiskers and gave us a cup, what a guy!”
In the caption, the content creator wrote, “The ending left me shocked, haha, what a legend! Saving us from the imminent doom of airplane cart coffee. How great is his setup, though? He was cooking at mile-high! Grinding the beans, adding the water slowly. It was so cute while he cooked, his friends on the plane came over for a cup of tea. Even the cabin crew flocked over to ask questions about the process!”
He said, “I never thought in my life I would see a setup like that at 30,000 feet. And the smell, wow, the cabin smelled like a coffee shop!”
